Crab Pasta Salad



Dill dressing:
1tbsp dijon mustard
3tbsp mayonaisse 
1/2tsp lemon zest
3tsp lemon juice
1tsp kosher salt
1/8tsp white pepper
1/8tsp dill


Cilantro dressing:
1tbsp dijon mustard
3tbsp mayonaisse
1/2tsp lemon zest
3tsp lemon juice
1tsp kosher salt
1/8tsp white pepper
1tsp cilantro


Salad:
1/2lb pasta
6oz can of crab meat(4.5oz dry weight)

  1.  Make dressing by mixing all ingredients listed
  2. Boil water and add 1 tbsp salt 
  3. Prepare ice bath
  4. Add pasta and boil till al dente
  5. When done shock pasta in ice bath
  6. Drain pasta and lightly dry
  7. Toss dressing and pasta; Fold in crab meat then serve

  1. So is this a recipe for two different types of different salads? Meaning, you can use either of the dressings?

    I know most people are put off by mayonnaise, but I love it. I think it's perfect for a pasta salad.

    Also, I love that you added crab. So many pasta salads are just pasta so that was a nice addition :)

    1. Yep 2 different variations of the same dish
      Some people like dill and some don't. Had to give options that both tasted great :D

  2. This is looking delicious & not heavy on the stomach either as the dressings sound light and refreshing. I'll let you know when I've made it and what my thoughts are! Need to find canned crab first. Shouldn't be too hard though, but I never bought it. Tuna is a fish that's eaten a lot here.

    Also, I love mayonnaise (being from Holland I get plenty of odd looks when I say this ha!)
